USPS Introduces 66,000 Electric Delivery Vehicles To Be Deployed By 2028

On Tuesday, the US Postal Service announced that it plans to buy 106,000 new vehicles by 2028, of which 66,000 will run on electricity and produce zero greenhouse gas emissions. The US Postal Service (USPS) is unveiling its first set of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and electric delivery motors. The charging stations, positioned at the South Atlanta Sorting and Delivery Center, can be mounted at loads of USPS centers national to help the most important EV fleet inside the USA. The electrification of the USPS shipping fleet is part of the organization's $40 billion investment approach to modernize its processing, transportation, and transport networks.

The occasion additionally showcased new battery-powered industrial off-the-shelf (COTS) delivery automobiles with a view to be a part of the EV fleet. The deployment of those electric transport vehicles will start in Georgia and make bigger to different locations at some stage in the year.
