Thunder Island Brewery in Cascade Locks, Oregon

Today marks a major milestone for electric vehicle infrastructure in the Columbia River Gorge.

Charli Charging has officially broken ground on a new installation of four high-powered DC fast chargers at Thunder Island Brewery Co. in Cascade Locks, Oregon. These chargers are designed to serve all EV drivers, including Tesla’s - with no adapter required and the capability to charge simultaneously.

Beyond just an install, this is a signal that sustainable, future-ready travel is here to stay in one of Oregon’s most scenic destinations.

Why Cascade Locks Needed This

Cascade Locks currently has just two public charging ports available to the public. As tourism and local travel grow, the demand for fast, reliable charging is rapidly outpacing supply.

Positioned right along the Columbia River Gorge, Thunder Island Brewery is a hub for visitors, hikers, cyclists, and day-trippers. By adding high-speed charging, we’re supporting eco-conscious tourism and offering a practical solution for travelers making their way through the Gorge.

We’re proud to break ground today at Thunder Island Brewery. This project reflects our commitment to expanding EV access across Oregon in a way that feels local, intentional, and rooted in community impact.
